Construction Equipment Springs: Excavator, Loader & Crusher Springs
Construction equipment springs for excavators, loaders, crushers and material handling machinery that must keep working through heavy loads, vibration and tough job-site conditions.

Construction Equipment Spring Solutions
CHENJI supplies construction equipment springs for excavators, loaders, backhoes, crushers and material handling machinery. Machines on active sites endure shock loads, dust and constant movement, so a construction spring has to carry heavy load, resist fatigue and keep its dimensions over a long service interval. Because a construction spring is often a safety-related part, it is produced with controlled material, controlled heat treatment and a protective finish — not simply to a wire diameter.
Where construction equipment springs work
On an excavator, recoil and return springs keep the undercarriage and attachments working under repeated shock; on loaders and backhoes, compression and torsion springs serve the linkage and levelling duties; on crushers, screens and feeders, heavy duty compression springs and disc springs carry and isolate load. Where a very high force is required in a small space, disc springs to DIN 2093 are used for preload or clamping. In every case free length, solid height and load at the installed height are the three dimensions most often controlled on a spring drawing.

Materials and manufacturing process
Construction equipment springs are made from quality spring steel chosen to suit the duty. Heavy duty compression springs are commonly made from alloy spring steels such as 60Si2Mn and 51CrV4, quenched and tempered to the typical 40–50 HRC range; disc springs are produced in grades including 65Mn and 50CrVA; and stainless options such as 304 and 316 are available where corrosion resistance is needed. Our heat treatment equipment reaches 1500 °C and our plant runs 35 machines producing springs across a 0.1–80 mm wire diameter range.
After forming and heat treatment the springs are shot peened to raise fatigue strength and then finished with a protective coating. Zinc-nickel plating, zinc flake and epoxy powder coating are common corrosion protection systems, and coated parts can be checked with salt spray testing to ASTM B117. Safety-critical springs are examined for decarburisation and surface cracks, for example with magnetic particle inspection, before they leave the factory.
Applications
CHENJI construction equipment springs are used on excavators, wheel loaders and backhoes, mobile and stationary crushers, screening plants, conveyors and feeders, and other material handling equipment. We also produce wire forms, so a linkage or assembly can often be supplied from a single source. The same material and process controls apply to prototype samples and to volume production, and we work from drawings or samples for both new machines and rebuild programs.
Frequently asked questions
What construction equipment do you supply springs for?
We supply springs and wire forms for excavators, wheel loaders, backhoes, crushers, screening plants, conveyors and feeders, and other material handling machinery. Typical duties include recoil and return springs, levelling and suspension springs, and preload or clamping springs.
What material is used for construction equipment springs?
Heavy duty construction springs are commonly made from alloy spring steels such as 60Si2Mn and 51CrV4, with grades including 65Mn and 50CrVA also used for disc springs, and stainless options such as 304 and 316 where corrosion resistance is needed. Springs are heat treated to the typical 40–50 HRC range and shot peened for fatigue life.
What size recoil spring can you make for an excavator?
Excavator recoil and return springs are heavy section springs commonly produced in the range of about 10–90 mm wire, finished powder coated or oiled to suit the environment. Our overall plant capability is a 0.1–80 mm wire diameter range with heat treatment up to 1500 °C.
Do you produce wire forms as well as springs?
Yes. As well as compression, extension and torsion springs and disc springs, we produce wire forms, so a construction equipment assembly can often be supplied from a single source. We work from drawings or samples.
How are construction springs made to survive site conditions?
Site conditions combine shock load, vibration, dust and moisture, so the spring material, heat treatment and finish are all chosen together. Springs are shot peened to raise fatigue strength and finished with a protective coating such as zinc-nickel, zinc flake or epoxy powder, evaluated where needed with salt spray testing to ASTM B117.

What types of construction equipment do you supply springs for?
We supply springs and wire forms for excavators, wheel loaders, backhoes, crushers, screening plants, conveyors and feeders, as well as material-handling and vibration-isolation equipment used on construction sites.
Can you make springs for excavator and loader undercarriage parts?
Yes. We produce compression, torsion and tension springs plus custom wire forms for pins, linkages and undercarriage components. Send the drawing, or the dimensions of the existing part, and we will match the geometry and load.
Do you offer heavy duty springs for crushers and screening plants?
Yes. For crushers and screening plants we make heavy duty compression springs for vibrating screens and feeders, and disc springs for preload and bolted connections, using oil-tempered and chrome silicon wire for high shock loading.
Can you supply replacement springs to match an existing part?
Yes. Send a sample or the original part number and dimensions and we will reverse-engineer a replacement, or produce to your drawing. We support both original equipment and aftermarket replacement programmes.
What materials are best for construction machinery springs?
Oil tempered and chrome silicon (Cr-Si) wire perform best under high shock and fatigue loading, while stainless grades suit wet or corrosive conditions. We recommend the grade from your load, cycle frequency and working environment.
